Rick Hirsch’s Classic Jazz Group will create just the right ambiance for your event. These musicians play lively and intimate acoustic jazz in the tradition of Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, and the Modern Jazz Quartet.
The Classic Jazz Groups are the first choice of banquet and conference planners in State College who want to add a sophisticated, hip touch to their events. Rick Hirsch's jazz groups play for events from the Palmer Museum of Art's black-tie Gala to Skills of Central PA's casual charity golf outing. And, of course, they play numerous wedding receptions, dinner & cocktail parties, and departmental functions at Penn State University.
The Classic Jazz Group is available as a duo, trio and quartet. And occasionally they perform as a little Big Band, using four horns, a three-piece rhythm section, and a vocalist.
